ABOUT NITTTR ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CHANDIGARH

Seeing old students as an important resource and ambassador of goodwill for our institution, NITTTR Alumni Association Chandigarh (formerly called TTTI Alumni Association Chandigarh was set up in 2001 with initiative of former students of this institute and faculty. The aims and objectives of this association are to promote and encourage friendly relations between all members of the association; arrange social and cultural functions; provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas and views on technical education, culture and other areas; promote and encourage the members to take active interest in the activities and progress of alma mater ; promote interest of NITTTR Chandigarh; publish literature, paper/journals to fulfill the objects of the association; and promote all activities of the association on no profit basis.

All teachers/industry personnel having undergone A Course, B Course, Post-Graduate Certificate Course, Master Degree Programme, Ph.D programme of Institute and all members of faculty including Director of institute in regular or temporary capacity at the time of application can get Life membership of Alumni Association paying subscription of membership as Rs. 500/-. They are required to fill up the enclosed proforma. The draft for the payment may be made in name of TTTI Alumni Association Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh.

NITTTR Alumni Association Chandigarh during these years tried to collect information about old students and establish dialogue with them. More efforts are planned this year to initiate and organize activities for bringing Alumni closer to the institution.

Institution proposed to give special consideration for the Alumni, who are interested in attending National Seminar from 18-19th Nov., 2006 and Annual day.

It is proposed to initiate few projects for linking alumni’s and exchange knowledge for mutual benefit.

2. Exchange programme for teachers and students
3. Newsletter 04 pages twice a year (TECHED CAUSE)
4. Interactive session on burning issues of TVE&T (SADAK Quarterly)

 Activities planned in near future:

1. Develop data base of Alumni (email) and Software for facilitating correspondence 
2. Organise general body meeting /special meeting .
3. Get-to-gather of local alumni with families.
4. Invite ME rankers in different branch of Engineering and Education for participation in seminar from 17-18th November, 2006 on Annual Day. (Details of Seminar can be seen on NITTTR Website)
5. Develop Question/Answer system on website.
